Ever since we took Grace to the pumpkin patch this past Sunday, she has been obsessed with pumpkins and all things Fall related. Given her enthusiasm, I decided to teach her about gourds this afternoon. As I was describing them to her and pointing out their shapes and texture, she got a huge smile on her face, opened her eyes wide as if thinking "I've got this, Mama" and said "Banana!". Apparently the long end of the greenish gourd looks just like an unripe banana :) Kids...gotta love them!
I must admit when I looked at this picture later, it DID look like a banana! Such a smart little cookie, I tell ya! We've also been practicing big and small and here she is so proud to show me the little pumpkin.
And it just wouldn't be the same without a little game of hide-n-seek, would it? Check out how excited she is of her hiding abilities!
