Today is our anniversary! Time sure does fly by when you're having fun!
Our story goes something like this...
Girl and Boy are 12 years old and in the 8th grade. As fate would have it, Girl & Boy are placed in the same homeroom and the teacher's alphabetical order seating puts the Girl right in front of the Boy. Girl is new in town and Boy sets out to get to know her. They become friends and share many classes that year and in the next four years of high school, but they never date. Boy graduates Class President and Girl graduates Valedictorian. Along with their friends they go on a Senior Trip and then lose touch after graduation.
Fast forward nine years later to the year before their 10 yr. high school reunion. As fate would have it once again, Girl & Boy run into each other while out with friends. Boy has recently moved back after working a traveling job with the Government and now lives across from Girl. Boy & Girl start dating right after Thanksgiving (insert puffy heart here!). They travel, they have fun, and start thinking about the future.
Next fall, they travel to their hometown and during the weekend of their 10 yr. high school reunion, Boy decides to ask Girl to marry him...right at the junior high school where they met 15 years earlier. Girl says YES! Friends are surprised to find out that Boy & Girl ended up together after all these years and all of life's turns. Boy & Girl get voted "cutest couple" at reunion (ha, ha, ha).
Next Spring, Boy & Girl get married on a beautiful evening filled with family and friends. Girl & Boy go on the vacation of a lifetime to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora and 10 months later, they are blessed with a beautiful baby girl, followed by a baby boy two years later.
And they lived happily ever after...

Happy Anniversary!!!
What a gorgeous wedding you had. I love everything about it. The cake, the dress, the color scheme and of course the happy couple. Picture perfect!
Isn't it funny how life takes us places we never expected. I met Dave in Jr. high too. We didn't date until college and have been married almost 11 years. I never dreamed...

This is day is so very special for us too - it's the time that my sister met her husband - at your wedding (for which I was deathly ill and swear up and down that I will never eat a burrito from the burrito guy again) who now has a most precious baby boy. And this day was the day my most precious gift was ever given to me - my son, Carson. Oh how this day will forever be intertwined with each of us - never forgetting how two lives became one, how two found love and how one came into our lives. Wow - very special for our family.
Happy Anniversary - I am so happy for you both - look what 3 years brought you two - a happy marriage, a beautiful little girl and a new arrival just waiting to make his appearance known to this world. Congrats and love you both!
Happy Anniversary!! This was a good day too, for me. I met Thomas at you wedding...sigh. Hope you have a wonderful day. Love, Julie
P.S. 11 days after Thomas and I celebrated our anniversary we had Sweet P!!!
Thanks for all the sweet comments!!!
Mom~ thank you for helping to make our special day so perfect.
Angel~ those 8th grade boys, I tell ya!! :)
Amanda~ you made me laugh so hard talking about the burrito man!! I had completely forgotten about that. I don't know how Lance and all the guys ate that stuff! And I can't believe they convinced you to try it - silly boys!
I was so excited when Carson was born on our 1st anniversary!
Julie~ I'm so happy it worked out for you and Thomas to meet at our wedding and then to fall in love (puffy hearts)!
...And 11 days from our anniversary would be June 7th - exactly 37wks. and exactly what my doc is hoping for :O
OH MY! That is just the sweetest story!!! I met my hubby at the bus stop when i was 14 and he 16. We found either other again 6 years ago and have been together ever since..amazing how often that happens!
Came back to look again and those parasols are just too cute. Is yours monogrammed?
Thanks! I was obsessed with parasols at that time in my life!! Yup, mine had our married monogram on it :)
Your wedding was beautiful! Ironically my husband and my story is very similar to your's...except we met in the 7th grade and started dating 8 years after high school. :) We'll be married 5 years this Fall and adopted our daughter a year ago last month. :)
