It's Springtime!

Happy 1st Day of Spring! Although it's sure not feeling like spring right this second. We started the morning a beautiful 70 degrees and tonight it's in the 20's, rainy & cold - WHAT???? Come back Spring - don't be a tease!

But you see, a little cold front couldn't stop me from enjoying the first day of Spring...which happens to be my birthday! Yup, spring chicken all the way! :) It was a fun day, full of this and this mixed in with a nice family lunch, some antiques shopping with my mom, a little solo shopping in the afternoon, and time with my sweet bunch at home.

Lots of exploring going on around here...nothing is safe :O This little guy is on the move! Crawling and pulling up anywhere he can. He's fast and into
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. But isn't he too cute in that springy plaid shirt??? :) I'm pretty crazy about little boys in plaid shirts and this one just happens to be the first one I ever bought for him right after I found out I was having a boy! Sweet memories.

And speaking of antiques stores...wanna see what I found?

A jar full of vintage birthday candle picks in the sweetest colors! Old classics with the cutest covers! A fun pattern for my favorite little guy. And the sweetest prayer sampler!!! I've been looking for one of these so when my mom spotted this one I was over the moon happy! And the grand total for all my treasures???
$12 buckaroos!

May your Spring be filled with renewal and may you be surrounded by pretty little things! Enjoy!

  3. So glad you had a wonderful Birthday! Happy Spring to you too. We have that same Cinderella book from my childhood. I need to find out where the thrift and antique stores are around here. I never go and that needs to change.

Angel~ you're in like thrift store capital in MN!!!! Seems like everytime I have a chance to catch some sort of redo show on tv, they talk about shopping the vintage shops in Minneapolis. I bet you find some fun stuff! :)
