palm sunday

As we begin this most holy week, I am reminded of the ultimate sacrifice our Savior made for us...the ultimate gift bestowed upon us...so that we may have eternal life in Jesus Christ.

I am thinking of areas of my life that need improvement, cleansing. And when I look at this sweet boy, so pure, so innocent - the contrast just resonates even deeper.

I think of the legacy that I want to leave for him and the little pumpkin... And even when the challenge seems great, I find comfort in knowing that the road has already been paved for us so long as we keep our eyes on the cross.

Thank you God that your promises stand firm...that your forgiveness is new every day...that your love for us is pure. wholesome. never ending.

May your spirit be renewed and your faith strengthened as we journey through this week leading to that glorious day - the Resurrection of our Savior!

P.S.
Dear Hudson,
One day you will read this journal and see these photos in our blog book. Your daddy asked me why you were wearing a dress. It is not a dress...although I, too, did a double take the first time I saw this bunny outfit. It's a hand me down from some of our sweet friends. It is definitely a boy outfit, even if it's just a tad on the feminine side. You, my dear son, were all boy in it, okay?
Love you,
Mama
