Isn't it funny how everyone's {vintage jackpot} is a completely different thing? I think that's the best part about vintage stuff - everyone has their own "love".
This morning I stumbled upon THE sWeeTEst little girl's vintage pillowcase dress.
That lamb!!! I LOOOOVE it. Nevermind that it is too little for the little pumpkin to wear. Hmmm...maybe as a top with some sweet pantaloons?? For now it'll hang sweetly in her bedroom. IF I'm ever blessed with another little girl, I think it would make a darling non-traditional Christening gown or even a sweet Easter dress. Can you see it with a little bonnet??? And with her name sweetly hand embroidered along the hem in this font?? I'm picturing barefoot pictures running around amongst the azaleas in the garden. Dream...
And speaking of vintage eye candy, hop on over HERE and request your FREE COPY of Cath Kidston's Spring 2010 catalogue - Oh, my! Hope today you find something simple and beautiful to make your heart sing!
I LOVVVVVEEE THAT DRESS!!! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo adorable!!!!! Where si you find this?!?!? You definately hit the jackpot!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so sweet??!! I got it from Janey Mack Clothing Co. on etsy (seller id: janeymacshop).
ReplyDeleteYou know it would fit Reese...hehe :)
ReplyDeleteHe, he, he :) You know, I used to sell vintage pillowcase dresses under the name Lulu & Co. I would find the pillowcases and then had a lady sew them for me...need to get back to that!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea! I asked the owner of a local (unorganized) antique shop about some and he told me to call and he would "dig" them out for me to look through. Guess I should give hime a call. I found the perfect little bird dollie/table scarf for Reese's room re-do at his shop so maybe I could luck out and find some. A pillow case dress would also be fun to hand embroider on. Maybe a nice vintagy looking fabric with a wide white bad on the bottom that is embroidered on...hmmm...maybe I should start a shop...lol :)
ReplyDeleteOooh - can't wait to see the bird dollie/table scarf...and Reese's new room!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I made my daughter a dress using a pillow case for Easter-I blogged about it and had to add a link to your sweet little find. Thanks for sharing (:
ReplyDeleteI love the dress you made, Em!!! Can't wait to see what other ones you come up with :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful find! So so sweet. You need another little Pumpkin. ;)
