Sunday we had the most wonderful picnic at the park all planned by my dear husband Lance and my wonderful stepdad A. J. We normally go out to eat for Mother's Day but this year we opted for a relaxed picnic and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I think we should make it a tradition :)
It was fun. It was relaxing. We played.
And laughed. We ate. And we even opened a gift or two! Grace couldn't wait to give Noonie her painting! My mom loved the apron I had embroidered with her name for our annual Bake Day! And I LOVED the sweet card Lance and the kids gave me and this "super secret" flower Grace made for me with Noonie's help {don't worry Noonie, it was still a surprise even if the little pumpkin did slip a hint or two on Friday :) } I had a wonderful weekend celebrating Motherhood! And I hope you did too!
Looks like so much fun! Much better than eating out at a restaurant. I am in love with the basket you gave your mom - is it a vintage one? I have been looking for something similar for my craft room. Also, where did you get the gorgeous pink flower in her basket? LOVE that!!! You are such a sweet daughter to spoil your mom on Mother's Day. Love all the pictures!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a lovely afternoon. I especially love the pictures of everyone playing with the kids. I can't wait to see them in person in just 29 short hours. :) I gave the same necklace to my mom for Christmas. I love that one!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to one of the best Mom's I know!
Heather~ I got the basket in Canton but it is not a vintage one. It's a reproduction. The vendor had them in red, blue, black, and that creamy yellow I got for my mom. Sold for about $15if I remember correctly. It didn't have any tags but next time we go I'll check for you to see if I can find more details. Oh, and the flower came from Michael's, I just cut off the stem :)
ReplyDeleteAngel~ We had a BLAST with you guys! Thank you so much for being such an amazing hostess!
