sewing & a-wishin'

Oh, how I love fabric! An unnatural obsession to look at, touch, buy, hoard store...

I have a project list a mile long. I really need to get better with my sewing or my mom is going to run in the opposite direction when she hears me say "...I have a little project for us to do".
{Love you, Mom!}

For now, here are some lovelies on my radar...

Brother-Sister set by Butterfly Baby Place - love, love the fabrics - perfect for fall pictures at the local market stand! And how fun is that tie???!!! Lately, the color purple has been calling my name. Funny, because it's not one of my usual favorites. But I love the sweet combination of violet shades in this Purple Amelia dress by My Little Sister . This next one, Calico Kitty by Dapper Duds was a very lucky sample sale find that I know the little pumpkin is going to enjoy wearing. She loves that kitty print and I love the retro hippie vibe this peasant dress has. Can't wait to see it on her with her pink cowboy boots and braids in her hair. Speaking of kitties, I love, love, love this fun pattern Miss Kitty Apron Top by Pink Fig. I have several of Chelsea's patterns and they're so fun. I think that tiny apron is too cute! Can't wait to see this one come to life in some of the fun fabric lines coming out for Fall.

The little pumpkin has been boycotting pants here lately - she much prefers twirly skirts and dresses. I hope the boycott lifts come Fall or we'll be in big trouble when it comes to school fashion. Thank goodness I can still get her to wear these comfy ruffle knit pants Bluebird Ruffles by Momi Boutique. We have them in a rainbow of colors and lengths and love them! They're great for traveling, "like wearing your favorite jammies", according to Grace.

Lovin' this fun and super twirly Emma patchwork skirt by Corinna Couture. I can see the spins now!

And not to leave the boys out...check out this sweet ABC jon jon by 3 lil muses. Because in the South it's still hot during Back to School!

I better get to cleaning out those closets so we can make room for all those sewing projects! *wink*

  3. Those are some great finds! Love the brother/sister outfits - Carter had one of those tie onesies when he was tiny and I loved it soooo much!

    I really need to get my sewing machine out and just try to learn. I would love to make one of your chalk mats for Emily's birthday but there is NO WAY I could do that yet! You are so talented, even though you say you have to have your mom's help =)
