a little preview of what's to come...

If I could get my wrist to stop hurting I would really be able to make some progress on some fun Dr. Seuss inspired birthday hats and what nots, but here's a little sneak peek at one of them. Friday, on our trip to Mimi's beauty salon to get Grace's hair cut, we stopped at a cute little boutique owned by a sweet girl I knew from high school and found this fun oilcloth bib! It's a perfect match for Hudson's birthday!!!! Woo hoo! Another thing crossed off my list :) Love it when things work out that way!! I plan to have it embroidered with his name to make it even more special. And because I can't resist his birthday sweetness, one funny outtake from yesterday's afternoon session to capture a picture for his invitation! Isn't he sweet? I'm completely smitten. I love every chubby little ounce of this sweet boy! And yes, I'm a bit late getting those out for his June 26th party, but with all the sore throats we've had to battle, things just got behind.
Ce la vie!

  1. Adorable!!!! This is going to be such a cute and espcially fun party!!!! Love the hat :) And the bib is going to be just too cute.

I decided that I don't want to make treat bags as Reese's birthday favors....any ideas? I am having a hrad time because of the age range of the kids (2yrs.-8yrs.) I thought about crayon rolls out of the farm fabric for the younger ones???

  2. Adorable. Do you start with a standard party hat and then just cover with fabric and add your extra blingy stuff to it? I want to make some and see. So cute!

  3. I think the crayon rolls are a fun idea!! Angel made some for her girls' last birthday party and she said the kids loved them. Add a farm related coloring book, tie the two with some gingham or raffia and you're set :)

Hey, Kris~ basically yes, with a few tweaks :) I hope to get a tutorial up some time in the next couple of weeks!
