Splash Park + Snow Cones

To round out our 4th of July holiday weekend, we packed everyone up and headed to the local neighborhood splash park, but not before enjoying this yummy new recipe: Chicken Enchilada Ring! Now, food photographer I am not, but just use your imagination...or better yet, give it a try. It was super easy and delicious.

The sPlasH PaRk - just a small section of a larger playground - was SOOOOO crowded with kiddos having fun and trying to stay cool so I'm pretty surprised that I was able to capture a few shots of my littles without too many others in the background.

Oh my, they had a blast! I love this little series...

Run, Run, Run! Ducking all the big sprayers Can you tell she had fun? Are you sure??? ;)
Hudson's Turn!
First, we tried it like this: Nope, not fun enough.

Then we tried it like this: Too much water, Daddy, too much!

But just like Goldilocks, third time's the charm. So then we tried it like this and it was just right! Ready... Set... Go! So thankful for a Daddy that doesn't mind getting all wet in the name of fun!

Not so much fun when the sprayer catches you by surprise. A rare moment when the park was all hers... ...still intrigued by the sprayers one year later! Goodness - what a difference a year makes!

Time to go!
But mama, I don't want to leave!!! Only the promise of snow cones could divert the inevitable tears!

Snow cones = yum! Perfect treat after a hot day in the sun!

  5. My favorite part of this is that Lance was right in there having fun with the kids. What a great Dad and such fun pictures for G&H to look back on when they are older.

I will definitely be trying that recipe, and the lemonade cake too. Yum!
