Summer's Last Hurrah! - Part I

Taking advantage of the long weekend we packed it up and headed out to see my folks Saturday so that we could go on a "Safari" excursion we've been talking about for what seems like forever.

But I think even more than the safari THIS was the highlight of the whole trip: Papa J surprised the little pumpkin by setting up a good 'ole fashion tire swing in their backyard!

Checking it out for the first time...
She wasn't excited or anything... Ready...Set... GO!Oh my! She L-O-V-E-D the swing!!!!! Papa J even taught her how to turn in circles! Even Papa J had a turn! This little guy wasn't too sure.
Next year Hudson, next year.
This is what summer and childhood are all about! Thank you Papa J for the wonderful memories created in your backyard this weekend!
We love you!!

  3. Awww. what fun! Great pictures. I will have to let you know about the hats. My daughter is a hair stylist, and she always has the girls hair so cute. She was a bit concerned about them wearing a hat over their birthday "do" so I need to get the okay from her before I order the hats. But if not for them, I will be ordering one or some soon! I love them.
