run, run as fast as you can...

This week at the little pumpkin's preschool has been all about GiNgErBreaD! Making gingerbread houses, reading the story, decorating gingerbread boy & girl ornaments, baking cookies...

Yesterday, Grace came home so proud of her creation! The students in her class were paired with 5th graders who helped them bring their masterpieces to life. She told me she was paired with a girl who liked PINK and knew how to sing...nevermind that she couldn't remember the girl's name...she remembered all the stuff that was important to her! he he he

I love all the little details she added to her gingerbread house and the stories she shared with me about them. Nothing cuter than a little sugar cube chimney!
Then there's the garage door...
The picnic table...Santa sitting on a powder donut! hmmm...wonder if someone is still thinking about our North Pole Breakfast??? But my most favorite detail is this one: She told me she planted a flower garden "right in front of the house, mama, because I know how much you love pretty flowers". Awwww....melt my heart all in one big swoop, why don't you!

I love your gingerbread house, Grace!
You did a great job sweetheart!

And speaking of gingerbread houses and baking..........this weekend I'm hosting a little Holiday Cookie Party with some of my girlfriends and I'm so excited!!! If you have any cute / yummy / EASY cookie recipes or appetizer recipes, will you send them my way??? Thank you!!
