whoooo loves you?

Nelle's Giveaway

A little forgotten and unused tee + some fun fabrics from my stash and *we*{this is code for "Noonie (my mom)...I have a little project for us" -insert snicker here-} went from this to this! Pretty cute, huh?

I will say the gymbo tees are much stretchier than the target tees we've used in the past, so a bit harder to work with. But what I love the most is this: Oooooh, how I love that little ric rac nicely sandwiched between those fabrics!

Thank you Angel and sorry mom.
What I mean by that is...thank you for the tips, Angel! And sorry to have added the "it's just a teeny tiny addition I want to make to the dress" step that added an extra hour to our project, mom! There's a first time for everything, eh?

So now the question is...to embroider or not to embroider? Here take a peek:
What do you think...
should I or shouldn't I?

  1. Eeeek! I lurve it! You two did a great job with the ric rac! :)

Hard to say about the words. It looks great both ways. Valentiney without being so specific that she can't wear it past Feb. I'm thinking you should start adding the words before you put so much time into it though. So I might leave this cutie alone, just in case. KWIM jellybean?

  9. Too cute! I would love the words on it but I've had a difficult time embroidering neatly on really stretchy Tshirt material. I would skip it but that's only because it's so cute already :)

  10. Love the cute dress! I would have to say keep it how it is just becasue this dress would be cute to wear all of Feb. not just for Valetine's day.
I had a few questions for you regarding your hats and about Grace's Strawberry Shortcake party but for some reason the email on your profile is not working.

My vote is no on the words, but I almost typed yes...I keep going back and forth in my mind, so maybe I'm not the one to ask, lol

  12. Jessica, that is so cute. I wish you could give me a lesson. I tried making one from an older post you had, needless to say... BLAH!!! Also wanted to tell you, our PC had been down for sometime, so just "borrowing" my sons IPOD to check mail and necessities. I am so glad to be up and running again, I missed all of your inspiring ideas, sweet words, and of course those adorable kiddos. Oh how Hudson has grown!!! Now my daughter can think the kids are smiling at her again. Thanks for the blog, perhaps one day I'll be brave enough to try my hand at it:)

  14. Thank you all so much for your input!!

Grace wanted to wear the dress TODAY to a friend's birthday party, so of course no time to add the words. And I'm glad I didn't - it was plenty cute by itself & comfy - perfect play dress! Can't wait to make more!

Angel~ I JUST finished Bunny Shirt #2 for Grace and now on to trying a new monogram shop *sigh* (fingers crossed) so yes, I'm definitely taking that advice to heart! he, he tell Amy next time I'm shipping it straight to her for the embroidery (no pressure) - HA!

Kelli~ Hmmm...I'm not sure about the email??? Would love to chat with you. Try directly without the link from my profile. It's

  15. Love it just as it is! We have that same owl shirt and had never thought about adding fabric to make it a dress! I might have to dig through her clothes and find some to do that to! Super cute idea! Thanks!
