Bunnies & Baskets {an Easter party!}

Last year we had THIS little Easter playdate and it was so much fun we decided to do it again!

I really love smaller, more intimate parties and Grace loves having her little girlfriends over for all things girly and pink and dainty, so...........Bunnies & Baskets it is!

First up, the Invitations.

When I found THESE sweet vintage invites, I knew they'd be perfect for a little spring party. As you can see from the little cake, they were meant for a child's birthday party - no problem!
I love vintage items and with vintage you have to learn to be flexible. I think that's part of the charm of appreciating things from long ago {50c for 12 invites - my, how things have changed!}

With just one little tweak they were PERFECT for our Bunnies & Baskets party.
Oh and the little "edit" on the date...yes, that's what happens when you have two little monkeys running around. I goofed and wrote "March" on all the invites so I had to fix my dumb mistake add a little character to the invites :)

One of the activities I have planned is decorating sugar cookies so when I found these sweet little ornaments of gussied up little chickies that looked like iced cookies, I knew they'd be perfect for our invitations.A little love note makes it that much sweeter, don't you think? Since these weren't going in the mail, we could really frill them up! We ended up tucking the sweet little invites in the cello bags just in case these sat by front doors for a day or two...it is after all our Spring Break and lots of people are out of town. Yesterday was a gorgeous, sunny day - perfect for us to hand deliver these little Easter lovelies to our little friends. While driving to our friends' homes, we talked about delivering "little bits of happy" and how much fun it is to do something nice for someone else. She was excited thinking about when her girlfriends would find their little surprises. The little pumpkin got really creative with her hiding spots...let's hope her girlfriends find them! he he heHere's to hoping these "little bits of happy" bring sunshine to some sweet girls!

More on Bunnies & Baskets in just a few weeks!

  3. Super cute as always, Jessica! I'm looking forward to the party pics ... and all of the 'spring' décor.

    Thanks so much for your lovely (and candid) comment on my recent post. It really touched my heart. I went in today for Round 6 and now have just two more to go. Radiation is likely to follow, but better days are getting ever closer.

    XOXO
