bunnies & baskets {easter party}

Last Wednesday six little girls {and 2 little brothers!} came together to play, egg race, decorate cookies, and nibble on tasty treats for our sweet little Easter themed party...Bunnies & Baskets! Pink, Periwinkle and Aqua Blue set the stage for a girly table full of all things dainty and sweet......and bunny themed, of course!Truth be told I had a completely different color scheme in mind but when I started digging through my party stash I realized I already had everything I needed for this one, including the sweet lilac patchwork coverlet turned tablecloth, so I just went with it and even though I'm not a "purple" person, I think it turned out really sweet...And this little pumpkin had a very special guest in attendance...Can you guess who??? First things first...and what I was most excited about...the egg race!!! Grab your spoon......and GO! These little girlies were really good...and FAST! We even did a backwards race...FUN! Of course, actually racing your egg is completely optional ;) All that running made those tummies H-U-N-G-R-Y! I went with my own interpretation of a "box lunch"... Choice of bunny shaped PBJ or turkey & cheese......and a bunch of yummy (+ healthy) treats! And because it was pretty hot outside we brought our picnic indoors! Time to decorate those cookies! We had quite the masterpieces, don't you think? Time for yummy treats! Cookies too! And candy! The girls took home sweet little party favors... Noonie made yo-yo shirts for each girl! Aren't they cute? Thank you, Noonie!! She made them to match the hair clippies from Grace's birthday. And of course, every princess needs a magic wand... Thank you Amelia, Emily, Maye, Madeline, and Ella Kate for coming! Grace had a wonderful time with you girls and I hope you did too! And thank you Beau for hanging out with Hudson! And with that, Bunnies & Baskets was a wrap!
Can't wait for next year...

  7. I am stealing lots of your ideas for my little ones class party this week. The "sack" lunch and egg race (with labeled spoons) are definately on my list now. I love that we all can feel like we were part of all your fun. Thanks for sharing all your details. I love it! Your children will have precious memories and must know how much their momma loves them!

  9. ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS!!! Where did you get the little candies shaped like ducks? I was thinking since we got real duckies, I would try to theme Easter that way this year. Silly us, loving a theme. Yo-yo shirts are awesome too!!!

  10. Lovely party as always. You have such a way with details. I love the colors too! It looks like everyone had fun. We are hosting a small Easter picnic/party on Tuesday with some of the same things, it definately won't look as cute, but it will be fun. ;)

  12. Adorable! Love the sweet spring colors and the addition of lilac was gorgeous too. Love that table topper. So jealous of your too hot weather already. We just went to an Easter themed birthday party here and were doing bunny sac races in 40* and windy. ;)

  14. Thanks everyone!

    Laura, the duck shaped candies came with an Easter cookie decorating kit from Target (12 cookies, icing, sprinkles, $8.99). Our Target had the kit in the baked goods section, not with the Easter stuff.
