Magic Kingdom & The New Fantasyland! {Disney Day 7}

On our last day at Disney World, we gave the littles the choice of which park to attend. They picked Magic Kingdom, of course!!
The Fairy Godmother was one of my very favorite characters.  She was soooo sweet and really visited with all the littles lined up to meet her.  She even personalized her autograph for the little pumpkin.
She asked Grace to make a wish and spin around as she waved her magic wand over her...loooooove!!
Sweetness!
We asked the littles what rides they wanted to try and go on one more time and It's a Small World was on both of their lists, so off we went...
It's a Small World was one of my grandma & grandpa's favorite rides...lots of sweet memories indeed.
Picking out a doll with the spending money Noonie gave her...
Thanks, Noonie!
Hudson's turn...what to choose, what to choose??
Thanks, Noonie!
Princess Tiana in a really pretty gazebo!
Say cheese...
Grace could barely get her arms around Princess Tiana's poofy dress!
Waiting in the LoNGesT character line ever at Meet the Fairies in Fantasyland to meet Tinkerbell...thank goodness, Lance made the line for us while we were waiting to meet Tiana!
Finally, Grace's turn!! She was soooo excited!
It's Tinkerbell!
{and then she became all shy...but it didn't last long, thank goodness!}
Mama, it's Periwinkle!
Hudson must have thought Periwinkle was pretty because he decided to get in the picture and give her a hug ;)
Off to burn some energy...running through the misting station in Tomorrowland!
And then it was time for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin!  Super fun!!
Oh, the poses!!
See what I mean?? Ha!
We made our way to the New Fantasyland! They were having a soft opening of parts of it so we were able to enjoy a few new rides!  Woo hoo!

Gaston...Grace said he was a meanie so she didn't want to stand in line to meet him. he he he
A sweet moment between the littles...so glad I had my phone out!
Ariel's Grotto!
{We thought this was a ride, but this was a meet-n-greet...we waited soooo long but totally worth it, since Grace loooooved meeting Ariel in her mermaid costume!}
So pretty!
Grace was in awe!!
Under the Sea...Journey of the Little Mermaid
{Thank goodness Lance went and got us the fast passes for this one!! Oh, and if you're headed to Disney, the FP for this one is NOT by the ride...it is in front of Mickey's PhilHarmagic!!}
Squeeeeze! he he...check out those bellies!
On our way out, the littles sweet-talked Daddy into some glow-in-the-dark spinners...
And before we could leave the happiest place on earth...treats from the Main Street Confectionery!
Treat envy - ha!
Good-bye, Cinderella's Castle!
Hope we get to come visit again soon!
And our last hurrah...Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort!
This was a fun dining experience...high energy and a fun buffet for the littles.
Mickey!
Pluto!
Finally, the one Grace had been waiting for...Minnie!
Check out Hudson's eyes!!! hahahahaha!!!
It's Goofy, Mama!!
A final ride on the monorail before heading back to our hotel, but wait...our day wouldn't be complete without Mickey Mail!!
The littles are STILL talking about the Mickey Mail they received...this was such a fab idea. Thanks again, Andrea!
A little Brave doll for Grace because she was the one princess we didn't wait in line to meet...
We had such a fun time at Disney. A special thanks to our travel agent, Tammy, who made all the reservations for us and made it soooo much easier for us.  If you'd like her contact info, send me an email and I'll be happy to send it to you!

And oh, the memories!! I think this picture captures what Disney was all about for us...
If you've been following my Disney posts...thank you for coming along as we relived this journey!! And if you're headed to Disney soon...Eeeeek! You are going to have the best time!!! We can't wait to go back!

  3. You make me smile with your shout outs! SO LOVED seeing those smiles over Mickey mail. Always fun to see how littles can surprise us with excitement over small things. We are currently doing our advent tradition that includes small treats and the excitment each day amazes me. I focus it on finding Jesus everywhere even in crystal turtles- really fun. I love your wiseman tradition, too. I am kind of sad your disney posts are done. LOVED feeling like we got to go with you with all your picts. Looking forward to your Christmas posts! I know you are having a great time getting ready for Christmas with your littles!

  7. Thanks everyone!! We had so much fun...can't wait to go back!!

    Okay, to answer a few questions...

    My mom (the littles' Noonie) sews clothes for Grace and Hudson and I also buy from several etsy shops and from Matilda Jane, among other retailers.

    We found the Star Wars play set at the Emporium on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.

    As far as food, we LOVED Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios was pretty yummy too. Did not like Tortuga Tavern at all! :O

  8. HI Jessica! Loved reading your Disney posts! We are going for the first time in a March and I have a 6 yr old and 1 yr old. I have a question and I can't find the answer anywhere online! Did you utilize the resort-park shuttle bus? We are staying at the Art of Animation and I am wondering how is works with a stroller. Do you they have ramps and let you keep the kids in the stroller or do you have to fold the stroller up each time? I'm thinking I will be solo for mid-day naps a lot and I need a plan! Thanks so much!

  9. Hi, Allison,
    We stayed at All-Star Movies Resort...the shuttles were anywhere from 10 min. to 35 min. wait when we were getting on from the hotel and about 20-40 min. when getting on at one of the parks. Strollers were allowed but they had to be folded to get on the shuttle. Only wheelchairs were allowed via the ramp on the shuttle buses. Hope that helps!

    P.S. We anticipated taking a mid-day break but we never did!! So the wait times I'm giving you are early in the morning and late in the evening so it may be a little quicker mid-day.

    You will have a blast! We can't wait to go back!!
