Capturing a picture of this little guy is still an Olympic sport, but it's getting a little easier
One last attempt before heading out the door, and of course, the best smile ended up being on my phone pic! Figures!
It was our turn to bring snacks for the week, so I decided to also bring a King Cake as an added treat for right after the parade. Most king cakes have cream cheese but one of the littles in Hudson's class is allergic to cheese so plain cinammon it was.
I figured I would just pop in and out of a local bakery and just grab a cake on the way that morning. Mistake #1. I should have pre-ordered so that I could have gotten the right size because the only plain cinammon king cake they had was HUGE...for like 35+ people...and $$!! Oh well, all for the littles.
And then, just a few steps from the door WHAM! I tripped on my own two feet and landed smack on the floor in my cute denim sheath and nude platform heels, somehow managing to land the XL box on the table of an unsuspecting woman who was probably enjoying her "once a week quiet breakfast by herself". Bless her heart. I'm just thankful I didn't spill her coffee!
She was so kind and immediately stood up and started fussing over me ever so sweetly. Yes, my knees were hurting, but it was my pride that was hurting the most - ha! All I could think to say was "The cake! Please check the cake!" hahahaha
And if you're wondering, yes, the cake was okay and all was right with the world once again.
I love that Hudson's preschool really works those thematic units. This was one of their books this week, leading up to the Mardi Gras parade...
And the corresponding artwork...
Last week when they had their teddy bear pajama picnic, they also had gUmmY bEaR sCieNcE...so cute! Hudson's prediction: {They are} going to change colors...
Time for the parade!
K-3 Fish Class lined up and waiting...
Cuties! I loved listening to their conversations...3 year olds are hilarious!
The K-4 kids passed out the beads..."Will I get one or not?"...I could almost hear the wheels turning in Hudson's head...
YES! I got one!!!
Mr. Personality, that's for sure! he he he
Silly boy! Love him to pieces!!
Hanging out with his buddy Madeline...they even fake smiled the same way - too funny!
On my way out I noticed this sweet tree...
The day before during Chapel, they talked about Jesus and how He loves us. They talked about ways to show their love to others and then about who they show their love to...such a sweet way to "study" Valentine's Day.
Speaking of...
Love this!! {via pinterest}
