I do have a soft spot for all things pink + easter + smocked + southern big bows...and I think our smocked days are numbered so we had to go traditional for at least 1 more year!!
I'm catching up on posts and these are from last Thursday, when Hudson had his Preschool Easter Egg Hunt. I whipped up some last minute treats for him to share with his buddies and I thought they turned out pretty cute!
They are just simple marshmallow pops with polka dot straws from Target for sticks and {this} sweet little free printable from Paper Glitter that I tweaked to include his name and a sweet sentiment...
Last Wednesday was super warm so I didn't even check out the forecast when I got their clothes ready for the next day...they were rather Springy and sweet...
And Hudson was so super excited about his Easter Egg Hunt at school...
But oh my, I had to drive back home after dropping off Grace to get her a cardi AND change Hudson's clothes because it was sooooo cHiLLy and sooooo wINdy!!! I even had to pull an outgrown coat from our giveaway pile so he wouldn't freeze to death during the egg hunt!!
It was Hudson's turn to do the morning routine, which was neat because I got to see it! He said, "I think...no...I PREDICT cloudy." And he was right!! Such cuties those 3 and 4 year olds are!!
Ready for the Egg Hunt!
Listening to the directions...
First spot...the alligator!
More and more eggs!
Counting his eggs to make sure...
{they were only supposed to get so many}
Oh no, NO.MORE.EGGS!!!
Found one!
Want to trade some eggs?
No.
Want to trade some eggs?
Silence.
Want to trade some eggs?
I DO! I DO! I DO! I DO!
Sweet girlies...
Which one is your favorite, Hudson?
THIS ONE!
And while the girls calmly and ever so politely examined their eggs...
...the boys were taking bets on who had the best eggs! he he heSuch fun memories!!
The little pumpkin didn't have an Easter Egg Hunt at school {boo!} but they did have a special treat on Friday and she was excited to pass out our {verrrrry} last minute treats to her friends! Old-fashioned candy sticks...Pink Lemonade ones for the girls and Cotton Candy ones for the boys...
Cute pic with her friend Layla...
Passing out treats...
{big job when you're in kindergarten!!}
Hope your little ones are having fun this week! I love doing all the cute Easter-y stuff with my littles, but I never want to lose sight of what Easter is all about. I love that whenever I ask my littles what Easter is all about, they both say, "Jesus who died on the cross to save us from our sins." You teach them well but sometimes you wonder if any of it is sinking in or not and it's so nice to have a little confirmation every now and then...
