first week of summer!
TwIRly WirLy week like Grace likes to say! We did all kinds of things...swimming lessons, movies, fun lunches, playdates, the water park, donut day, sewing, summer reading program kick-off, went to look at another house and on and on and on...
These two sweet girls had a super fun playdate...and oh my, they are aDvenTUrOuS!! They went down the BIG slides over and over again. Grace even went down the CANNON BALL by herself!
My poor shoulder after hanging out with these sweet girlies at a water park all day...and this is WITH having applied sunscreen - OUCH!
We caught two movies this week. Gotta love the $1 kids' summer program! This was Ice Age: Continental Drift, right after swimming lessons...
Noonie made some cute pajamas and shorts for Grace and Hudson Batboy...
The littles explored caves and made bat wings as part of the Summer Reading Program Kick-off at our local library...{Grace added bows and jewelry to her ensemble...he he}

Grace came home with this rock she dug out of the cave and Lance helped her find the magic crystals...
We had some crazy thunderstorms mid-week...I was at work and Noonie sent me this pic...as you can see Hudson is NOT a fan of that type of weather!!

...and took advantage of National Donut Day with free donuts from Krispy Kreme! This pic is what I like to call SuGAr DazE..........................................

Everything that goes up must come down, right?? So after donuts and mind you NAPS, loooooong naps, we had our appoinment for church directory pictures...
Epic Fail!!!! The littles were WILD! We selected the very first picture we took if that tells you anything. When we left the only thought going through my head was this: Call.Super.Nanny - Ha!
Oh well, a fun week no matter what. And a shout out to my sweet mama & mother-in-law who make our wACky schedule work - LOVE YOU and THANK YOU!!

Your blog always makes me SMILE! It is crazy how I find the biggest encouragement to keep on keeping on as a mom who loves to have fun with her littles, too. I just have to share with you that like you we had a big outdoor party planned for weeks- guess what day it fell on- yep that bad weather day this week. Funny how the days before and the days after have been amazing!! However, our party was fine and all was well thanks to last minute help from dear friends. Several times I thought of you and how you made Grace's party wonderful despite the weather. Gotta love how blog world encourages lots! THANK YOU for sharing!! Want to know more about your waterpark. I have thought about driving over for the day.- however the $ movies are sounding much more my speed these days. Yea for summer!
You are very welcome, my dear daughter. I love the time I spend with the kids. Their ideas, crazy dances and squishy hugs always make me smile! Hurray for summer fun!!!!
