Every year we go to Christmas Eve Mass with Noonie and Papa J, dinner, and then open presents. I love going to Midnight Mass - maybe in a couple of years we'll be able to go to it again, but for now we go to the afternoon Mass so we can tuck in the littles at a decent time.
All dressed up and ready to go!
Just as we were about to walk out the door a surprise package arrived from a sweet friend. I LOVE surprises! Thank you, Sara!! As you can see, I wasted no time enjoying this pretty necklace!
The littles with Noonie and Papa J...
Attempt at a family pic...even Jax decided to join us!
And then lots of squeals, "it's just what I wanted", hug attacks, and our traditional wrapping paper war after it's all over with!
Leave it to grandmas to buy the stuff we won't - hahahaha! But seriously, those smiles!
These expressions! Priceless!
Papa J is a super fun present-opener!
Hudson wasn't too sure about anyone else having a bow tie but him...
Noonie and I must have been thinking alike!!
LSU stuff forever for Lance! he he
And then Grace had a special surprise for us...
She had picked out "Mom" and "Dad" tiny ball ornaments for us! We LOVED them!!
Hudson said he helped her spot the ornaments...he he he...SO blessed with these two sweet littles!
My sweet Tata & Abuelito started the wrapping paper war and it's been going strong ever since! A new generation is now carrying on the tradition...they must be smiling down from heaven!
Sweet snuggles from some tired littles who kept saying they were NOT tired - ha!
My heart is full!
Thank you, Noonie & Papa J!
Oh, what a fun Christmas Eve it was! First of all: Mass, since Jesus is the whole reason for celebrating Christmas. My next favorite thing is just seeing the kids' expressions as they unwrap a present and see something they really like. Priceless!!! And definitely... we can't miss the wrapping papers war! YES to passing traditions down generations!
ReplyDeleteOh so sweet! So glad you loved your little surprise!
