Once upon a time two little girls met in kindergarten and they became best friends. As their friendship grew, so did their nicknames for each other until one day Savannah became "Shimmer" and Grace became "Glimmer". The two young maidens had birthdays just a month apart and so their moms thought Hmmm...why not?! And thus the Shimmer & Glimmer County Fair was born and they lived happily ever after.
